I made this banner while I was thinking about a discussion I had with 2maggie2. She believes that Buffy didn't love Spike and that she only felt for him. What exactly? Big feeling which are not love, though. I, on the other hand believe exactly the opposite but I'm afraid that Spike probably won't agree with me. Here's a banner entirely from his perspective. Plus George Michael's song might not be my favourite but it screams Spike to me. Enjoy!

A very lovely banner. And yes, I think the song would speak to Spike. It is very much how he felt. He didn't feel he was worthy of her love. But I believe Buffy loved Spike. As Cassie in season seven's "Help" told Spike, " She'll tell you. Someday she'll tell you."

I wrote this drabble called " Freudian Slip" based on a scene in "First Date":

It started out so innocent.

Just girlfriends talking girl talk while folding laundry.

Willow just said it was good that Buffy had a date with Principal Wood.

It was good she was moving on.

“Why does everybody in this house think I'm still in love with Spike?”

Buffy freezes as soon as it slips out.

Willow’s eyes go wide.

Thankfully, Xander distracts Willow with news about his own date.

Buffy can’t believe she said that.

It was a slip. That’s all it was.

She tells herself that, but she saw Willow’s reaction to it.

She isn’t. She never was. Crap.

While I'm not inclined to believe that Buffy was ever in love with Spike, I can almost see how some people think she was. (Yes I still ship Spuffy more than Bangel.) I think that Spike after he got his soul was better for her than Angel ever was. I just think she was crippled because she still thought of Angel as the end game match for her and she couldn't let herself feel beyond that. (That and she was still getting over the AR.)

This banner is so completely how I see them and how I know Spike would see them too. (THE BANNER IS GORGEOUS!!!!!)

If you've kept up with the comics... things may have changed for her about Angel, we'll just have to wait and see about Spike.

Yes, I understand why Spike feels the way he does but I still think he should have at least given her a phone call or something. His insecurities hurt her a lot more than they hurt him IMO.

Things changed A LOT for Angel. He made a helluva lot bad choices. He pushed and manipulated Buffy, he killed her girls, he tortured her and put her through hell for what? For the greater good? I don't think so.

Believe me when I say I don't understand that either. What does " I feel for someone." even mean? What do you feel? Love, like, hate etc.

Yeah. Ditto. I feel sorry for him but not calling Buffy was IMO one of the stupedest things he's ever done.
